Mr. Hauman Yeung

Hauman Yeung is the Director of Corporate Advisory at Ascent Partners. He got a master's degree in finance from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He has been involved in the environmental movement in Hong Kong since 1988 and has worked on several ecological restoration projects funded by United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and World Bank in Loess Plateau and Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau. He worked with United Nations UN ESCAP to help Bhutan to issue their first-ever sovereign Green Bond in 2020. He is currently engaged by United Nations UN ESCAP as a Special Consultant to organize the project "Asia Pacific Green Deal".

Hauman co-founded the company Ascent Partner Advisory Service Limited in the year 2008. Ascent Partners is a leading provider of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Reporting Services. Since he started the ESG department in 2016, the firm managed to produce more than 400 ESG reports for listed companies in Hong Kong, and now become one of the market leaders in the ESG field.

With an exceptional wealth of experience spanning over three decades in executive positions in investment and financial sector, Prof. Lam brings a distinguished career dedicated to providing investment management and advisory services to a diverse range of global financial institutions including Supernational Organisations such as United Nations, Asia Development Bank, central banks and sovereign wealth fund and superannuation investors in Asia. Since 2012, he has emerged as a driving force in promoting social entrepreneurship and the impact investing movement in Hong Kong and Asia.

Prof. Lam has earned widespread recognition and prestigious accolades at both the corporate

Prof. Lam has served as Chairman of the ESG and Impact Investing Research Committee of the Greater China Alternative Managers Association. He also served as a Senior Advisor to UNDP SDG Innovative Impact/Finance, Advisor to both the Information Accessibility Research Association in China and the Future City Summit/Good City Foundation in Asia, and Coorganiser of Social Enterprise Summit in HK. As a typical pracademic, he advocates life-long learning and practice, and has co-authored notable publications including "The Essence and Measurement of Organization Efficiency" (2016), "Sustainable Investment – Impact in Asia" (2020), and "The Illuminating Journey of ESG" (2023).

In 2012, Professor Lam established iEnterprise, an organization dedicated to conducting applied research on Tripartite Collaborative Models. These models involve a distinctive partnership that brings together social business operations, commercial enterprises, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to establish "Impact Enterprises." The primary objective of these enterprises is to unlock untapped productivity within disadvantaged communities that may have been previously overlooked. He also serves as an Adjunct Professor and co-founded the “Lab for Innovative Financing and Transformation” within the Department of Public and International Affairs at City University of Hong Kong. His research interests revolves blended and innovative finance models for societal betterment and the development of measurement and valuation frameworks for these initiatives. He is instrumental in the hands-on execution of the "Inclusive Smart City" development. He works closely with organizations such as HKEX, the HK Legislative Council, HK Equal Opportunity Commission and HK Smart City Consortium striving to promote “technology for good “ and ensure that the needs of the underprivileged are incorporated in the journey of smart city development.

Oswald has more than 20 years’ of experience in business consulting covering Hong Kong, the PRC, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Mongolia, United States, Canada, etc.

Oswald is a qualified valuer and accountant for IPOs and M&A ,with extensive experience in business valuation. He has signed for over 100 valuation reports prepared for IPOs and transactions. Oswald is also an International Certified Public Accountant and have abounding knowledge in the field of financial reporting. Therefore, he has sophisticated knowledge in the compliance requirements from the regulators, and capital market activities. Oswald is also qualified as a certified carbon auditor and the first batch of National Trader on Carbon Emissions in Hong Kong.

Under his leadership, Riskory Consultancy Limited became the official strategic partner in sustainability of Canon Hong Kong. The carbon emission targets of Riskory Consultancy Limited have also been validated by the Science-based Target Initiative (SBTi).

Professor Paulina Wong

Research

Prof. Paulina PY Wong is currently an Assistant Professor in the Science Unit at Lingnan University. She is also the Centre Fellow(s) of the Institute of Policy Studies and the LEO Dr David P. Chan Institute of Data Science. She has many years of industrial and academic research experience in New Zealand, USA and Hong Kong mainly on ecological and practical applications of Geographical Information Systems (GIS). Her areas of specialization include urban climate, air/noise pollution, GIS, and environmental health. In recent years, her research has been extended to GeoAI modelling, urban sensing, mobile geospatial technologies, sustainability education and ESG. She is a certified GIS Professional and ESG Planner (CEP®). She obtained her BSc and MSc (with first-class honours) from the University of Auckland, New Zealand and her PhD from the University of Hong Kong.

Prof. Wong also serves on a number of professional associations such as the Council member and Vice-chairman of the Spatial Data Infrastructure Committee of Smart City Consortium (SCC), Honorary Secretary of Hong Kong Geographic Information System Association (HKGISA) and Founding Committee member of Hong Kong Alliance of BA&E Information Management Associations (HKABAEIMA) to foster GIS, Open BIM and Smart city development. She is also the editorial board member, review editor and guest editor of several quality international journals.

Emily S. WONG

Emily S. WONG holds a LLM (HKU), LLB (UK), and a Master of Business Administration (I.T.) (Aust) and chartered marketers of MCIM (UK) and AIMM (Aust.), and a Certified ESG Planner CEP® (HK). With over 20 years working experiences, Emily has worked in the computer industry and information technology, specializing in the creation of computer hardware and software, new product development from conceptualization to commercialization, wireless transmission, optical tracking, virtual reality and augmented reality, and optical tracking. She oversaw the development of OTT platforms while working as a vice president for a TV network. Additionally, she has marketing expertise from key China cities to the US, Europe, and Southeast Asia.

Emily is the author of 「揀飲擇食」 The Meals Matter, a book about the science of cookery that has garnered favorable reader comments, online versions of the content are also accessible in audio format. In 2018, she was diagnosed with autoimmune disease when her inflammatory illness first began to attack her eyes, so she decided to think about pursuing a new route in life since then. She founded a charitable group in 2019 to help mothers and kids in a remote fishing community in Myanmar.

Eventually, she formed a nonprofit group dedicated to creating a better, more equitable world. In order to contribute to the UN's SDG 3 Health and Wellbeing, encourage better health, provide easy access to healthcare advice on the internet, and teach people how to prepare simple cooking so they can better care for themselves and their families. The provision of program material involves working with licensed medical specialists and pros from other industries, artificial intelligence is used to enhance narrative and video creation in general.
